The Legacy of the Arts Festival enters its 12th year of celebrating the arts in Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island. It opens on Father's Day, June 20th, progresses through a week of performances, demonstrations, exhibits, architectural tours, and workshops. The celebration closes with the two-day art show on the Village Green, Friday & Saturday, June 26th & 27th. Give us a call for your reservations, don't miss out on this great week of activities! Opening day is set for May 21st. Reservations are coming in! Save on booking fees with travel agents and give us a call. We do not discount our rooms on any site on the internet (even priceline). We offer a 10% discount if you stay 3 nights or longer (cabin #1 excluded). We also offer a 5% discount for cash payment of your bill. Continental breakfast is included and usually consists of bagels, toast, muffins, juice and coffee to get you started off to the park.

Fall Colors

Beautiful blue skies during the day and cool nights have arrived. We are starting to see the color change on the leaves. Columbus Weekend is almost upon us when there is alot going on in the area. Please check the smaller restaurants and shops for their times and closings as most of them will be altering their times and closing after that weekend. Isleview will be closing on October 18th for the winter season. We've had a great summer and appreciate all of our customers that have stayed with us!

Labor Day Weekend

Absolutely beautiful weather for the holiday weekend. We couldn't ask for anything better after the hurricane rains that went through the area the last couple of weeks. Kids are all heading back to school in most parts of the country so the pace will slow down and be less hectic for tourism. Fall colors will now come into play as the cooler temperatures and shorter daylight hours will start the leaves changing. Our rates drop to Fall rates on September 8th for the rest of the season. We close on October 18th. The is still plenty of time to visit Maine's beautiful Acadia National Park and visit the lovely town of Bar Harbor. August Already!

Summer is finally here...sunny 80 degree days with no rain....didn't think it would ever happen! Lot's of No Vacancy signs up in the area so it looks like the tourist are arriving for peak season. We are pretty well booked through August 15th. Everyone loves our little one room cottages and of course the value priced budget rooms are always booked by the end of the day. Come on and visit Downeast Maine and Acadia National Park. It is absolutely the most beautiful place to relax and enjoy some great Maine lobster!

July the 4th has come and gone. We actually had some blue sky and a nice afternoon. The fireworks went off in downtown Bar Harbor even though the rain came down in the end. July is looking very busy for this area. Cabin rentals at Isleview are heavily booked for the month and August is filling up. Down East Lobster Pound across the street is keeping busy as well, they have the best place around to pick out your lobster and have it cooked to perfection! Memorial Weekend

It's finally May! Nice weather is arriving in bits and pieces. It feels good! Our cabins are fairly well booked for Memorial Day Weekend, we still have a stray open night here and there. So despite the economy and the new swine flu, we all still need a break and Acadia National Park is beautiful and all it costs $20 per car($10 until June 23) for a 7 day pass. The Downeast Lobster Pound across the street is opening May 8th. Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound is opening up on Memorial Day. Check out the local link on our web page for things to do in the area.
